Copyright Policy

The International Journal of Commerce, Management, Leadership, and Law (IJCMLL) is committed to protecting the rights of authors while ensuring the wide dissemination of research. This policy outlines the copyright and licensing arrangements for works published in IJCMLL, balancing author rights with the journal’s commitment to accessible knowledge.

  1. Copyright Ownership and Transfer

Author Ownership: Authors retain the copyright to their work but grant IJCMLL a license to publish, reproduce, and distribute the article.

License to Publish: Upon acceptance, authors are required to sign a license agreement granting IJCMLL the right to publish and distribute the work in various formats (print, electronic, and other media).

Exclusive Rights: IJCMLL is granted exclusive first-publication rights, which means that the work should not be published elsewhere in the same form without prior written consent from the journal.

  1. Licensing and Distribution

Open Access Policy: IJCMLL provides authors with an option to publish their work under an open-access model, where the work is freely accessible online for readers without subscription fees. Authors may choose to publish under a Creative Commons license, which defines how their work can be reused by others.

Standard Licensing: If authors choose the subscription model, access to their work is available to journal subscribers. However, authors still have the right to use their work for personal, educational, and research purposes, including posting pre-prints or versions on personal or institutional repositories, as specified in the license agreement.

  1. Author Rights and Permissions

Reuse by Authors: Authors may reuse their work in personal or professional settings, such as in a thesis, presentations, or other publications, provided they acknowledge the original publication in IJCMLL.

Institutional Repositories: Authors are allowed to deposit the final accepted manuscript (post-peer review, pre-publishing layout) in institutional or subject repositories, with acknowledgment of the original source.

Third-Party Permissions: If authors wish to reuse images, tables, or substantial excerpts from other works, they are responsible for obtaining permission from the original copyright holders and crediting these appropriately.

  1. Copyright Infringement and Misuse

Publisher Rights: Notation Publishing, as the publisher of IJCMLL, reserves the right to take action against any unauthorized copying, distribution, or other use of published articles that infringe upon copyright.

Plagiarism and Misuse: Any plagiarism or misuse of content published in IJCMLL will be investigated according to the journal’s ethical standards, and legal action may be taken if necessary.

  1. Citation and Acknowledgment

All published articles must be properly cited when reused or referenced. Reproduction of excerpts or parts of articles must be accompanied by an acknowledgment of IJCMLL as the original source of publication.
